Informal assessment

Informal assessment usually occurs in a more relaxed manner and can include observation, checklists, evaluation scales, performance and portfolio assessments, participation, and self evaluation, and discussion as the students learn and the teacher evaluates them from the information gathered. Informal assessments is useful for making valid the learners’ knowledge and performance in any particular class and sometimes when students are in a relaxed atmosphere they are not afraid to many any mistake and is better for them because they know what they can improve.
